Our Signature Service

About the Second Opinion

It’s an independent review of your business and personal financial strategies — your returns, your entity structure, your compensation, your retirement plan — to identify gaps, hidden risks, and opportunities for improvement.

You give patients second opinions every day. This is the same discipline applied to your finances: a fresh set of expert eyes before your next major decision.

Yes. The introductory call, the independent review, and the 60-minute findings meeting are all complimentary, with no obligation to engage us afterward.

If we turn out to be a good fit, we can prepare an engagement for the services we’ve outlined — with clear scope and pricing agreed on together before any work begins. The only optional cost within the review itself is the written Second Opinion Report, for clients who want a permanent record of our findings.

No. You don’t need to change accountants — you simply deserve to know if there’s a better way. A second opinion isn’t a criticism of anyone; it’s due diligence.

If you decide to stay where you are, you’ll leave with a clearer picture and better questions to ask your current advisors.

Typically: your last 2 years of business and personal tax returns, year-to-date financial statements (P&L and balance sheet), any IRS or state notices, and any prior tax projections. Everything goes through a secure upload link.

If something is hard to find, send what you have — we’ll fill in the gaps together.

The findings meeting is where we walk you through everything: our observations, the opportunities we identified, and our recommendations — with time for all of your questions. You leave the meeting with real clarity about where you stand, either way.

If you’d like a written record of the review, we offer the optional written Second Opinion Report (starting at $500) — a comprehensive document you can keep or share with your existing advisors. And if we’re a good fit, we can prepare an engagement for the services we outlined, with scope and pricing agreed on together before any work begins.

Working Together

About Working With AccuBooks

Primarily medical professionals: physicians, surgeons, dentists, orthodontists, veterinarians, optometrists, private practices and medical groups, locum tenens and 1099 providers, and med spas.

We also work with established business owners and families with complex financial situations.

Yes — this is one of the most common reasons providers come to us. We help with entity selection and setup, payroll, quarterly tax planning, deductions, and retirement options designed for independent income.

Absolutely — coordination is one of the biggest gaps we find. Tax, compensation, retirement, asset protection, and estate strategies often live in separate silos. Part of our job is making them work together, in cooperation with the advisors you already trust.

It depends on the size and complexity of your practice — a solo 1099 provider and a multi-location group need very different levels of support. After the complimentary review, we’ll give you a clear, written proposal with transparent scope and pricing before you commit to anything.

The Practical Details

Logistics

No — we serve clients nationwide. Meetings happen by secure video call, and documents are exchanged through a secure upload link, so it works the same whether you’re across town or across the country.

Less than most people expect: a 15–30 minute introductory call, roughly an hour gathering documents, and a 60-minute findings meeting. Two focused meetings — that’s it. We built the process for people whose days are booked in 15-minute increments.

Yes. Documents are exchanged only through a secure upload link, and your information is always kept confidential. You handle sensitive information every day — so do we, and we treat yours with the same care.

Before your next major financial decision — a buy-in, a practice launch, an expansion, a transition — or before year-end, while there’s still time to act on what we find. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
